Auto mode, voice dictation, and file attachments
v3.6.2 brings Auto mode, voice dictation, and file attachments to Google Apps Script Copilot, renames Agent mode to Build mode, and makes your plan, billing, and usage easier to follow.
- New Auto mode (Plus, Pro, and Lifetime plans) reads your project, picks the next step, and checks its own work, while you still approve anything that sends, deletes, or touches a secret. You can undo a whole Auto turn in one click
- Agent mode is now called Build mode, and a new mode picker in the prompt bar lets you switch between Ask, Plan, Build, and Auto
- Voice dictation: speak your prompt and Copilot writes it out for you. On Lifetime, it uses the transcription provider and model you pick in Settings
- Attach PDFs and text or code files to chat messages, not just images, and drag text straight into the prompt bar
- Review every file the agent edited or created in one place before you keep the changes, and anything you type while a change is waiting for review is no longer lost
- Fix with GS Copilot on execution log errors sends the error to chat so Copilot can help you fix it
- Chat messages show which skills were applied, Copilot pulls in smarter project context, tool activity is grouped more clearly, multi-file reads are faster, and the light/dark theme icon is fixed
- Usage now shows how much you have left and the date it resets
- When your Pro usage runs out, the extension popup shows your remaining extra-usage balance
- Your plan card in the extension popup now appears instantly
- Manage billing now opens the right billing page
- Checkout shows a clear loading state while it opens, and a double click no longer starts two checkouts
- The usage pill in the side panel is now clickable, and the Own key badge takes you straight to AI provider setup
- Adding another AI provider keeps your existing default models
- The Fast model is now labeled with its 2× speed and 2× usage, so you know what to expect before you pick it
